World Bank support Mission at Kira for Quality Assurance Review Assessment
THE World Bank support Mission has to today been in Kira engaging with both the Technical and Political leaders for Quality Assurance Review Assessment. Led by the Task Team Leader Huyen Phan, accompanied by Officials from the Ministry of Kampala City and Metropolitan Affair led by the Under Secretary, Mrs. Edemachu Monica Ejua. After presentation from the Kira team, the team started on examining the assessment which was done by the Independent Verification Agency (IVA) for the matter of quality assurance.
Kira Municipality is one of the nine entitities implementing the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Urban DFevelopment program funded by the Government of Uganda with support from the World Bank and AFD. The program is aiming at improving the infrastructural in are districts of Kampala, Mukono and Mpigi.
Launched in Kira by Her Excellency the Vice President Jesca Alupo, the program started with Mbogo rd stretching from Kiwatule via Najeera to Kira, Cyprian Kizito( From Kira through Bulindo to Kiwologoma and Kungu Bivanju ( linking Najeeera Buwate stretch to Kyanja through Kungu as the the flagship projects.
