Who is Kintu Herbert the Chairperson Works Committee?

Born in Kira Kitto in the family of Mr. Samson Lulire, Kintu Herbert started her education life at Buloba Boarding Primary School, joined Ibanda Senior Secondary for ordinary level and from there he went to Kololo High for Advanced Level. Thereafter he joined Bukalasa Agricultural College and later Makerere University where he graduated as a Veterinary Doctor. Besides vet and Agricultural related straining Kintu a married man with children has acquired several trainings in different fields from different institutions such as Kigumba Cooperative College, Nairobi University among others and outside politics he a member on the Wakiso District Farmers’ forum.

He started his political journey in 1998 as youth leader at village level and later parish when Kira was still a Sub County under the greater Mpigi District. He later became a Councilor at the Sub County representing the Youth during the reign of Mr. Kent. He was a staunch NRM but later on crossed to the NUP. Representing Kira B-Kito Kintu’s political dream is to once serve the people of Kira as the Division Chairperson or Municipal Mayor.

To become the Chairsperson Works Committee he raced with Hon. Kakembo Bate who got 10 votes and had served in the same position for two terms equivalent to five years and, Hon. Obere who got only 04 votes.
